Booking A DJ

When it comes to booking a DJ, sometimes you don’t know where to start. Here’s a few tips and advice as well as why we think booking a DJ with The Ridler Mobile DJ is the best choice.

 

Firstly, The Ridler Mobile DJ is a professional DJ company with the experience and knowledge to make your special celebration one to remember. Whether it’s Weddings, Birthdays, Engagements, Corporate Christmas Parties, Social Functions, Fundraisers or Sports Events…we’re able to cater to any of them!

 

If you’re looking to book a DJ, it would be to have a good look through our website. We’ve provided as much information as possible to ensure you can make an informed decision about your entertainment options. It’s all laid out pretty clear…making it easier to find out what you need to know.

 

Have a good look around. Yes we suggest you do investigate your options for booking a DJ as there are many DJs out there… some professional and some ‘bedroom DJs’ or ‘hobbie DJs’ who do it for a bit of fun but with out the quality equipment or experience to ensure your event runs smoothly. We hope that at the end of the day you’ll love what we can provide and be impressed by our punctual & informative customer service and advice.

 

When it comes to booking a DJ, we’ll send you a link to our online booking form where you can outline all the key information about your celebration so we have everything we need. This may include your venue and the address and contact person of that venue so we can contact them prior if need be, how many guests you expect, who the contact person might be on the day if it isn’t you and any optional extras you may like (e.g. laser lights, smoke/bubble machines, uplighting for walls/entrances, custom monograms and more). You can also view our terms and conditions. Once you complete the form it comes straight through to us so we can lock it in. There’s also a minimum $100 non-refundable deposit required to secure the date.

 

Of course if you need any advice and not sure what would suit best, what song to choose or what optional equipment extra you may want then all you need to do is ask and we’ll be happy to help. Chances are we’ve been to your venue before so will have a bit of an idea of what may or may not work or how much space there might be.

 

Lastly, there’s the music. We don’t turn up with pre-decided song lists because what you like may not be what the event last night liked. Prior to your event we encourage you to give us an idea of what songs or artists you like or styles of music you’d prefer. It’s also a good time to mention any “please don’t play these” songs. Approx. one month out from your event we’ll send you a link to our playlist request page where you can submit your music requests and any specifics e.g. First Dance song, Processional song or Signing of the Register song – making it super easy.
